In 2022, at COP27, IRIS invited SIDS governments to apply for funding through its first call for proposals. This first call focused on supporting SIDS with relevant technical support for enhancing the resilience of their infrastructure systems. The funded projects are aimed to be practical and help SIDS population in terms of more reliable access to infrastructure services. After a rigorous review process, 11 Projects have been selected from 13 SIDS (Caribbean, Pacific and the Indian Ocean) to bolster the resilience of infrastructure systems in the face of disasters and climate impacts.
